Kakarot ZkEVM monthly recaps

After Kakarot's long journey, we all know that Kakarot ZKEVM's public testnet phase (no invite code required) was officially announced after previously being in the public dev phase (invite code required), and also the amazing rollcon ethcc side event was held last week with the starknet foundation, there have been lots of interesting journey in the last month regarding kakarot zkevm, for that we want you to know what has happened in the last month, let's take a look!

Kakarot ZkEvm Public Testnet Major Upgrade at in mid-june (last month), kakarot announced that a major testnet upgrade had been carried out & they explained that there were several improvements and optimizations to their ZK-EVM aimed at improving the overall user experience on the Kakarot Testnet & here a summary of the improvements we highlight :

• cairo precompiles

• modification of bytecode and nonce

• pack EVM RLP encoded data into fieldelements

• transfer of ownership

• force contract upgrade

• index runresources has not remaining steps error as a reverted transaction

• move retry to calldata

• set max fee to 0.

• add packing of RLP encoded EVM data into starknet calldata

New Visual Rebranding

and at the end of June (last month) Kakarot surprised by announcing several hint trailers with their new visuals, and at that time they also announced their new rebranding by changing their logo and visual appearance, it looks really awesome, and on the occasion of the discussion, CEO-founder Elias Tazartes explained about Kakarot zkevm new branding, he said that in general Kakarot needs to have clear visual guidelines and a coherent identity throughout the whole protocol, Elias also explained that initially the Kakarot logo came from Abdel (Head Ecosystem Starknet ) and then adapted. Elias also emphasized that with this new branding, Kakarot can starting from fresh to have this entire atmosphere.

Kakarot Public Testnet Is Now Live

after major upgrade in mid-June (last month) and a new rebranding, finally at the beginning of July kakarot zkevm brought good news to the entire community, Kakarot zkevm announced their public testnet on July 3, in this public phase no longer requires an invitation code unlike the previous phase which was aimed at dApps developers, meaning anyone can participate and start their journey on kakarot zkevm, find out more about the testner guide here!

In this phase there are several very interesting key to look forward to which we have highlighted :

• kakarot Will Release a testnet Community Point System

• kakarot Will Release a Maintaining Ecosystem Page (However, KNEWS also has released an ecosystem page to help users explore more efficiently & updated )

• more new dApps are coming and these are eagerly awaited

Testnet Surpasses 500K TXN (2WEEK)

since the kakarot zkevm public testnet phase was launched, the explosion and enthusiasm of the community was beyond expectations, in just 2 days transactions exceeded 160K txn and the huge user of faucet request traffic at that time made the faucet paralyzed for a while. and after 2 weeks of launch the kakarot zkevm public testnet has exceeded 500K TXN with 6 Live dApps, it's still early before more dApps coming!!! here the scouted latest on-chain analytics that we highlighted:

• 50K+ active address

• 400+ NFT deployed

• 25+ token deployed

New Partnership Announcement

pyth has announced a partnership with kakarot to integrate kakarot zkevm by providing the advantage of the low-latency price feeds to kakarot developers, By integrating Pyth's low-latency price feeds, Kakarot can further enhance the DeFi experience.
